It was youth week at the Rotary Club of Asbury Park last week.  Lunch last Wednesday was a sell out.  A full house watched and listened to our scholarship winners tell us about themselves and their aspirations.   Three of our four recipients attended and from their presentations we could tell that the committee made some excellent choices.  We look forward to following their academic careers.

They are (l to r) Jorge Villavivencio from Academy Charter HS, attending Rutgers University; Lindsey Sanclementi from Neptune HS, attending Quinnepiac University; and Trevor Kraeutler from Ocean Twp HS, attending James Madison Univ. Not pictured - Cristal Ramirez from Asbury Park HS, attending College of St. Elizabeth. Good luck to all and come back to visit us!

On Tuesday evening some club members attended the moving closing ceremony of RYLA.  Included were two ROCAP parents whose children participated in this excellent program, Amy and Jason.  We hope that these Rotary  offspring can come to a meeting to talk about their experiences at RYLA and share their  feelings about this life-changing program.  Our club sponsored the following participants:

William Gage Hutzley Ocean Twp Ocean Twp HS.   Ayana (Yana) Kai Jean Williams Neptune Neptune HS.  Katie Lynn Peardon Neptune Ranney School.  Victoria Hope Den Bleyker, Loch Arbour, Rumson-Fair Haven HS.  Pearl Grace Morales, Bradley Beach, Biotech HS
